Hedbox’s new HED-BP99D battery is a compact Sony BPU-style Smart Battery Pack designed for high performance and safety. A key feature is the LCA (Low Capacity Alarm), which alerts users when the battery falls below 10% capacity. The IDL (Identification Display LED Monitor) provides status feedback and control, while the high-contrast OLED display clearly shows battery capacity, remaining operational time, and charging status—including remaining charging time—day or night. With dual D-Tap and USB-C PD3.0/45W power output, the HED-BPU99D can power a variety of accessory devices. The USB-C power input allows the battery to be conveniently charged using standard USB-C PD3.0 chargers.

Built-in USB-C PD3.0 / 45W In/Out

The USB-C PD 3.0 / 45 W output can power any external USB-C electronic device. This allows the HED-BP99D to function like a portable power station, capable of charging smartphones, tablets, or any other devices compatible with USB-C PD 3.0. Additionally, the battery can be charged using any standard USB-C PD 3.0 charger available on the market.

Built-in Dual D-Tap / 100W In/Out

HED-BP99D battery pack is equipped with a dual D-tap DC output socket on top. With this external power supply facility you can connect two different products, like an on-camera LED light and video monitor or a wireless transmitter and digital recorder, and get simultaneous power with the battery attached to the camera, or separately as an independent power station. The opposite orientation of the D-Tap connectors provides more flexibility during every day operation. The max power from the two D-taps is 100W / 7A.

SMART Low Capacity ALARM (LCA)

Hedbox R&D is excited to introduce a groundbreaking innovation to the global video and photo market — the Dual IDL Emergency Alarm, a Smart Monitoring system for low battery capacity. When battery capacity drops below 10%, the system activates a distinctive, highly visible flashing IDL (Identification Display LED) in silent mode (no buzzer), alerting users that the battery is running low. A second-stage Low Capacity Alarm (LCA II) engages below 5%, switching to a stroboscopic LED flash to provide a clear and strong final warning before full depletion.

The battery is equipped with a dual-color (RED & GREEN) LED control display, providing a clear indication of various battery statuses. When connected to a USB-C port for charging, the LED flashes RED, notifying the user that the battery is actively charging. Once fully charged, the LED switches to a constant GREEN, indicating the battery is ready for use. This feature offers users convenient visual monitoring of the battery’s charging status.

During charging via USB-C, the battery’s OLED display provides a real-time view of the charging progress. The display shows charging status in two stages: the current battery capacity, measured in 1% increments, and the remaining time required for the battery to reach full charge, shown in minutes.

The cable has an LED display that in real-time show charging power, charging status. Built-in smart chips monitor the charging power and adjust current and voltage automatically, avoiding damage to the battery in case of an unstable current. Data Communication with Camcorder
